Your turn-around time seems longer than most online shops I've visited, why?

Well, a couple of reasons! All of our items are handmade after a collection closes. I am a stay-at-home / work-at-home mom of 3 children, one of which is home-schooled teen and another is a threenager. (My middle child attends school during the day.) Around the crazy that having kids entails, I hand make all of the pieces you see on this site. We do not out-source any of our production, and everything is handmade in our home, one piece, one collection at a time. I endeavor to place quality over quantity, which is why some projects take longer than anticipated, and also why our collections are so limited. 

I missed a collection or the collection isn't exactly what I want, do you offer customs? 

Unfortunately, no. At this time, we are moving away from full customs in effort to focus more of our attention on our semi-custom collections that will give more littles a chance to wear our handmade clothing! 

I want to order something from a collection, but it says 'sold out'? The collection only released a short time ago... how is this possible? Do you have more? 

I am so sorry! Unfortunately, my supplies are limited and I also limit collections by the maximum number of items I can reasonably expect to produce in a given time. If it is a time issue, I *may* be able to make an exception, in this instance, I urge you to get in touch with us.

In *most* cases, collections are limited by supplies. I calculate each item I list by the number of items, I can get out of the amount of fabric I have. Occasionally, if I have more tiny baby orders that big kid orders, I may be able to squeeze out more items than I originally anticipated. In this case, I am happy to make the item for you. The BEST way to let me know you want to be 'next in line' is to express your interest in our Facebook Insiders group with the item and size desired. There are NO promises, but I will let you know as soon as I have it worked out. Payment in these cases is due immediately, so that the production process is not hindered.  

When can I expect my items to ship? 

Ready to ship items ship within a few days. I generally ship on Tuesdays following an end of the week stocking. Occasionally, this may be delayed, which I will try to post in our Facebook Insiders group. If your ready-to-ship items needs to be shipped immediately, please message us so we can accommodate you! 

Most items that we offer are made-to-order and will take longer to ship due to manufacture times. (I hand make all items in my home, see above.) Ideally, made-to-order items should take about 2-4 weeks to make and ship. (Excluding holidays).

I am considering ordering from a semi-custom / made-to-order collection, what is the turn-around time or when should I expect the collection to ship? 

I try to post an expected ship date on each collection. As my shop transitions from individual customs and preorders back to semi-custom / made-to order collections, I expect my initial turn around time to be about 6-8 weeks. In the future, I hope to maintain a 2-4 week turn around time. I will always keep progress updated in our Facebook VIP group.

I see you are USA (Florida) based, do you ship overseas? 

Yes. I will ship anywhere my shop can calculate the shipping for, including APO/FPO/DPO! There may be additional customs fees depending on your country, please contact your postal carrier for more information. You are responsible for any/all duties and taxes, and the item(s) you purchase will be listed on the label per postal requirements. If your area is NOT listed once you get to the cart page, please feel free to message me to see if it is something I can offer, as my system is constantly updating! 

Where is my package?

Once we ship your order, you will receive an email with tracking information.

Some carriers can be slower to update tracking information depending on service used. While we will do our best to help, once orders have left our studio, Sun-Kissed & Sandy cannot be held accountable for lost, stolen, or mis-delivered packages.

If you’re having and issue tracking down a shipment, you’ll need to contact your local post office and/or parcel carriers for assistance.

How do I care for my SKAS Gear?

This is pretty easy; love it, wear gently for longevity, be careful of excessive stress to the seams, don't use bleach, or wash with abrasive fabrics. For more in-depth information, please see our How to Care for Your Garments page.
